Utils Component

The Utils component provides a data elementData Element (DataElement). A fundamental data concept or entity within an application's domain, acting as an anthropomorphic translation of a real-life object or concept. that can be used to configure values at runtime. In some cases, settings or configuration parameters might be dynamic and depend on your environment, client or time.

ParamTargetValue

ParamTargetValue instances are triplets:

FieldFieldA property of a DataElement expanded to a database column and user interface input element.	Description
Param	Name for the parameter
Target	Additional tag. At least one triplet should have target default.
Value	Value for this param-target combination

The ParamTargetValueAgent exposes 2 methods:

public String getParamTargetValue(String paramName, String targetName) {}
public boolean isParamTargetValueActive(String paramName, String targetName, boolean defaultValue) {}

getParamTargetValue() returns the value associated with the given paramName and targetName. In case this combination is not defined, the method returns the value associated with paramName and target default.

isParamTargetValueActive() returns true if the associated value is true, false if it is false and otherwise defaults to the default value. This method also defaults to target default if the given target is not defined.
